Iberville Suites Hotel Conversion to Courtyard New Orleans French Quarter/Iberville by Marriott

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Built in 1878, the historic building at the corner of Iberville and Dauphine sits in a premium location just one block from the action and entertainment on Bourbon Street. Originally a high-end department store, the property operated as the Iberville Suites since the 1990s. In 2012, Pascal Architects helped develop the plans and manage the conversion of the Iberville Suites to the Courtyard New Orleans French Quarter/Iberville, a boutique-style hotel by Marriott.

Maintaining the original architectural details of the building, the new hotel features 230 guest rooms, including 140 spacious guest suites that feature separate living room and private bedroom areas ideal for extended stays. With a bold design aesthetic, Pascal Architects completed the interior architecture for the new hotel, which included a new entry lobby, meeting room space, a fitness center, a 10,000-square-foot event and meeting space, and new dining and cafe spaces. The hotel maintained 75 percent occupancy during the five-month construction period, while still completing the project on time and within budget.
